WU’s Meghan Illingworth Named SLIAC 6th Woman of the Year

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has released the end of season awards for the sport of women's basketball. WU's Meghan Illingworth had a fanstatic sophomore season that led to being named the 2024-25 SLIAC 6th Woman of the Year. 

This season, the St. Louis native played in 22 games that included two starts where she averaged 8.0 points and 4.6 rebounds per game while shooting 52 percent from the field. In addition, she led the team with 25 blocks (1.1 bpg) that included 19 blocks in conference play. Lastly, she finished third on the team with 97 total rebounds. 

Illingworth is the third consecutive Gorlok to win this award as she joins her teammate and reigning two-time winner Emily Wilson
