Women’s Track Achieve Several Top-10 Marks At SLU Meet

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Webster University women's track and field team continued the outdoor with a crosstown trip to Saint Louis University on Saturday. As a team, the Gorloks secured 10 top-10 marks while four Gorloks achieved a new personal record.

In the hammer throw event, four Gorloks competed in the event led by Isabelle Llewellyn with a fifth overall finish with a mark of 40.36m (132'05"). WU's Cali Pavlisko secured eighth overall with a mark of 34.85m (114'04"). In addition, Symphony Schodroski captured a new personal record with a mark of 30.84m (101'02") that finished ninth overall. WU's Grace Rose secured a new personal record with a mark of 26.49m (86'11") which secured 10th overall.

In the javelin event, Llewellyn secured a third place finish with a mark of 31.51m (103'04") while Pavlisko placed fifth overall with a mark of 21.41m (70'07"). Rose rounded out the field for Webster with a mark of 16.85m (55'03").

In the shot put event, Pavlisko secured fourth overall with a mark of 9.93m (32'07.00"). WU's Schodroski rounded out the field for Webster with a mark of 7.65m (25'01.25").

In the 1500m event, first-year Brie Inman achieved a new personal record with a time of 6:26.56. WU's Emily Horowitz secured a new personal record with a time of 7:17.39.

In the 100m dash, Kianna Patton was the lone Webster competitor in the event and secured fifth overall with a time of 13.64 seconds.

In the 100m hurdles, Josephine Caesar secured a fourth place finish with a time of 20.08 seconds. WU's Olivia Nelsen rounded out the field for Webster with a time of 21.59 seconds.

In the 4x100m relay, the relay team of Caesar, Aissata Kamara, Elicia Theroff, and Patton earned a second place finish with a time of 52:17. With that time, the team defeated Division I Western Illinois by three seconds.

The Gorloks will continue the outdoor season on Saturday, April 12 with a visit to SIU-Edwardsville to compete in the Gateway Invitational at Ralph Korte Stadium
