Men’s Track Earn Four Top 10 Finishes At Memphis Tiger Invitational

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Webster University men's track and field team competed in their final meet of the outdoor season by participating in the two-day 2025 Memphis Tiger Invitational hosted by Division I Memphis University on Friday and Saturday. Four Gorloks secured a top-10 finish in different events while four Gorloks finished with a top-25 mark.

Friday:
In the javelin event, junior Austin Merritt earned an eighth place finish with a mark of 38.90m (127' 7.00") which was on his second attempt.

In the pole vault, first-year Elijah Bohler secured a fourth place finish with a clearance of 4.13m (13' 6.50") which was his on his first attempt at the height.

Saturday:
The second day competition started off with the high jump as first-year Nkunim Kouame earned a seventh place finish with a mark of 1.85m (6' 0.75") which was on his first attempt at that height.

On the track, five Gorloks combined for seven top-18 marks in five events. In the 110m hurdles, fifth-year Armond Williams achieved a ninth place finish with a time of 16.65 seconds.

In the 400m dash, sophomore Nic Richardson was the lone Webster competitor in the event and earned a 12th place finish with a time of 52.51 seconds.

In the 100m dash, sophomore Dylan Patterson earned a sixth place finish with a time of 10.84 seconds while Merritt placed 11th overall with a time of 11.07 seconds.

In the 800m run, sophomore Johnny Imboden was the lone Webster competitor in the event and secured an 11th place finish with a time of 2:11.41

In the 200m dash, Patterson secured a time of 22.44 seconds that placed 17th overall while Merritt crossed the line with a time of 22.47 seconds that placed 18th overall.
