Women's Basketball Makes No Bones About It With Win

Webster 70 Logan College of Chiropractic 50

The Webster University women's basketball team ran to a 38-22 halftime lead, and closed the deal with a 70-50 victory over Logan College of Chiropractic on December 12 at Grant Gymnasium.  Twelve Gorloks played over 10 minutes in the contest as they extended their winning streak to four games.

Blair Underwood (SO, Webster Groves HS, STL) led the way with 19 points as she was four for five from three-point range.  Maggie Zehner (FR, Oakville HS, STL) added 12 points and eight assists, and Tori Fenemor (FR, St. Charles HS, STL) had 11 points and grabbed a team season-high 11 rebounds.  Catherine Russell (FR, Clyde C. Miller Academy, STL) pulled down seven rebounds and added two assists.

Webster is 6-2 on the year (2-0 SLIAC) and enjoying its finest start to a season since 2001-2002.  The Gorloks take a holiday break from action and don't return to the hardwood until December 30 vs. Ripon College (WI) at home.
