The Webster University women's basketball team ran its winning streak to three, toppling Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, 51-43, in Terre Haute, IN, on December 9. Racing to an 11-0 lead to start the game, the Gorlok's defense took over from there, netting 13 steals and forcing 31 turnovers.
Ayrica Lockett (SO, Crossroads Prep, STL) helped keep the pressure on the Engineers as she grabbed six rebounds, had three steals, and scored eight points.
Maggie Zehner (FR, Oakville HS, STL) had a team-high 12 points and added four assists..
Tori Fenemor (FR, St. Charles HS, STL) had 11 points on a perfect five for five shooting from the field, and
Katy Meyer (JR, Parkway Central HS, STL) pulled down a team-high nine rebounds.
Webster is 5-2 to start the season for the first time in eight years. The Gorloks are home on December 12 to face Logan College and take a holiday break, returning to action on December 30 at home versus Ripon (WI).
