Box Score Kristin Montgomery scored a goal and added an assist to lead the Webster University women's soccer team to a 2-0 win over Fontbonne University in the semifinals of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament.

Webster, the No. 1 seed, hosts No. 3-seeded Principia in the title game Saturday (Nov. 9) at Noon. The winner of that game receives the SLIAC's automatic berth in the NCAA Division III national tournament.
Senior Jordan Fosburgh (Collinsville, IL / Collinsville) gave Webster a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute with her eighth goal of the season and fifth goal in the past five games. Montgomery (St. Louis, MO / Duchesne) and senior Ally Nikolaus (St. Louis, MO / St. Joseph's Academy) were credited with assists on the play.
In the 59th minute, Nikolaus played a long ball to Montgomery, who outran her defender before firing a shot into the bottom-left corner of the net for her eighth goal this season. Montgomery leads Webster in points this season with 28 (eight goals, 12 assists). Nikolaus, last year's SLIAC tournament MVP, is third on the team with 26 points (10 goals, six assists).
Junior Jessica Davis (Belleville, IL / Belleville West) made one save to pick up her ninth solo shutout of the season, as Webster outshot the visitors 17-3. The Gorloks have compiled 12 shutouts this season, including three straight.
Webster has won its last 10 games and outscored its opponents 54-3 during that stretch. The Gorloks have scored 85 goals this season (4.25 per game) while conceding 11 (0.55 per game). The Gorloks (18-2 overall, 9-0 SLIAC) have the 10th-best won-loss-tied percentage in the nation (.900). That percentage is the second highest in program history, behind only the 2001 Webster squad that went 18-1-1 (.925 won-loss-tied percentage). Webster's 18 victories this season also tie the '01 squad for the most in school history.
Webster is seeking its second consecutive SLIAC tournament championship title and sixth in nine years.
Webster and Principia have faced off in the SLIAC tournament title game four times with each school winning twice. All four games went into overtime, and two were decided by penalty kicks. Webster won both penalty-kick shootouts by a 5-4 score.
