Box Score Kristin Montgomery and Brianna Luaders tallied four points apiece as Webster University women's soccer team toppled Eureka College (Ill.) 5-0 at home Saturday (Sept. 28).

The game was the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener for Webster (9-2 overall, 1-0 SLIAC), which recorded its sixth shutout this season.

Montgomery (St. Louis, MO / Duchesne), a junior forward, scored a minute and a half into the game, and junior defender Whitney Scott (Independence, KY / Holy Cross) added a goal about four minutes later.

Luaders (St. Louis, MO / St. Pius X), a freshman midfielder, buried her third and fourth goals of the season in the second half, with a tally by sophomore forward Ashley Mess (St. Louis, MO / Northwest) sandwiched in between. Mess leads the Gorloks in goals (7) and points (17) this season.

In addition to her early goal, Montgomery earned a pair of assists and now has a team-high six for the season. Junior midfielder Lindsey Adshade (Chicago, IL / DeKalb) recorded her first points as a Gorlok with two second-half assists. Mess was credited with an assist as well.

Junior goalkeeper Jessica Davis (Belleville, IL / Belleville West), with her fourth shutout of the season, made two saves to take sole possession of third place on the school's all-time list for career saves. She improved her record to 7-1 this season and broke a tie for third place for most career victories ever by a Webster goalie.

Up next for Webster is a SLIAC home contest against Greenville next Saturday (Oct. 5) at 7 p.m. The Gorloks were picked to win the conference according to the SLIAC coaches' preseason poll.
