ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has announced the Player of the Week Awards for the week ending on Sunday, September 19
th. For her efforts this past week,
Courtney Haneline was named the SLIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
Haneline, a freshman goalkeeper out of Loveland, Ohio, played a big role in the Gorloks two games last week. She recorded six saves in a 2-1 loss to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and then followed that up with one save in her first career solo shutout on Sunday against Beloit (Wis.) College. Haneline is currently 3-2 between the pipes on the season and has recorded 20 total saves.
The Gorloks will return to the field on Wednesday, September 20
th when they travel to Terre Haute, Indiana, to take on the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (Ind.) Fightin' Engineers for a nonconference matchup. The game is set to start at 5:30 p.m. EST.
