Dan Thoman was a four-year basketball player at Webster and is the all-time career leader in points scored (1607), rebounds (738), and steals (170). Nineteen years later, Thoman is 331 points and 120 rebounds higher than the next closest total in both career categories. Thoman also ranks sixth in assists, eighth in blocked shots, and ninth in 3-point baskets.

Thoman received SLIAC First Team All-Conference recognition in 1991, the only year he was eligible. His success extended to the classroom, where he maintained a 3.55 gpa. Thoman helped organize the Webster men’s club volleyball team, which had success playing matches versus other university teams from all NCAA divisions. He coached high school girl’s basketball and volleyball at Ft. Zumwalt South HS, reaching the Missouri High School final four in volleyball in 1998. Thoman was a St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete at Winfield High School (MO).

After teaching for a number of years, Thoman moved into high school administration, serving as Assistant Principal at Maplewood HS, Principal at Winfield HS (MO), and currently Assistant Principal at Eureka HS. He is married, with three children, and resides in O’Fallon, MO.
