Laura Stuhlman Peiter, who graduated with a BA in Media Communications in 2001 and a MA in Media Communications in 2007.  Laura was a four-year basketball and softball player for the Gorloks. Webster softball won four consecutive SLIAC Championships and advanced to the NCAA tournament all four years Laura anchored second base for the Gorloks.  Laura was a SLIAC Softball All-Conference selection in 1998 and 2001.  As a starting guard for the women’s basketball team, she was a SLIAC First-Team, All-Conference selection in 2001-02 on the squad that was undefeated in the SLIAC and advanced to the NCAA Tournament ‘Sweet Sixteen.’
  
Peiter’s name is scattered all over the Webster career record books.  In basketball, she is first with 332 career assists, first in steals with 259, second in 3-point field goals, and ninth in total points.  A speedster in softball, Laura is first in career stolen bases with 111, second in triples, fourth in runs scored, and sixth in hits.  Her success in the classroom was just as impressive.  She was named to the Dean’s List four times as an undergraduate, compiling a 3.8 cumulative grade point average.  Peiter then completed her Master of Arts in Communications, graduating with honors and a 3.97 GPA.

Laura worked in the Webster Undergraduate Office of Admissions, upon completing her bachelors, for six years.  She is currently a Career Services Assistant at the University of Missouri Career Center, in Columbia.  She is married to Matt, and they have a son, Evan.
