Purpose
Webster University “Gorlok Hall of Fame” has been established to pay tribute, to give deserved recognition, and to enhance school tradition by honoring former student-athletes, coaches and other university staff who have shown distinctive, unique or exceptional ability while on the campus at Webster University since graduation.

Criteria to be considered for induction

STUDENT-ATHLETE CATEGORY
1.  The nominee must have graduated from Webster University.
2.  The nominee must have been an athletic participant, as reflected in official university records, for at least two (2) years.
3.  The nominee is eligible for nomination eight (8) years after graduation. (Must have graduated on or before 2015)
4.  The nominee must have been an outstanding student-athlete who made a significant contribution to the Webster University athletic program.  (Typically, a student-athlete would have been multi-year All-Conference or have received national recognition)
5.  While athletic achievement is of prime importance, character and good citizenship during both undergraduate and post-graduate years will be taken into consideration.
6.  Accomplishments after leaving Webster will also be a factor in making the selections.

COACH CATEGORY
1.  The nominee must have coached a minimum of five (5) years at Webster University in the sport in which he or she is being recognized.
2.  The nominee is eligible for consideration upon retirement or five years after leaving Webster University.
3.  The nominee must have attained recognition in his or her sport.
4.  The nominee has been or is an example of good character and citizenship.
5.  Other factors that will influence the selection of a coach include the following:       
      a. Success at Webster University      
      b. Length of career at Webster University
      c. Concern for the welfare of student-athletes      
      d. Achievements of former student-athletes   
      e. Outstanding achievements after leaving Webster University

SERVICE CATEGORY
1.  The nominee must have been in a leadership or support service position for intercollegiate athletics at Webster University for at least 5 years.
2.  The nominee is eligible for consideration upon retirement or five years after leaving Webster University.
3.  Other factors that will influence the selection are the following:    
       a. Length of service at Webster University 
       b. Support for the welfare of student-athletes      
       c. Support for the success of the overall program  
       d. Positions or achievement in professional or outside organizations related to the athletics program

The selection committee has the right to make exceptions to certain criteria on a case by case basis.
